Reykjavik Energy

This is the corporate headquarters of Reykjavik Energy (Orkuveita ReykjavÃkur) It is owned by the city of Reykjavik and as such might be considered a public service company. But really this is a cash cow, raising prices if God forbid we have a warm summer where people use less energy. They build this building a few years back costing quite a bit more then was budgeted for it, amongst other things they needed to redo the floors in part of the building since they were in too much of a hurry to finish the building to actually let the floors dry before covering them. The building is rather unique since the most of the walls aren't straight and it reminds me of something out of Star Wars rather then corporate headquarters.

If you are ever around Reykjavik make a trip to this building, it is worth seeing if nothing else then for the gimmick factor
