Winter is officially here

Winter is here and it's getting colder and the days are getting shorter. The sun barely manages to rise above the horizon. These pictures are taken between two and three a clock to day.

Thank you for the pictures you have taken, I gives me great pleasure in viewing these. I am very interested in the garbage you have? living so far north one never thinks of trash or garbage, here in Ontario Canada we just bury it. Out of sight out of mind, but the land is then polluted for life.

I will come back here to view more of your efforts, Thanks!!

I guess that watches are standard issue there since you can't guess the time so easily.
I haven't been to Iceland yet but I'm so crazy for that island that I started my own blog. Maybe I'll get it out of my system. or not...

Hello, I'm french (and fond of Iceland !) and I hope one of you, authors, will see this message. Actually, I'm 18 and I'm preparing a competitive examination : in 3 weeks, I'd like to give in a project about the city of Reykjavik. I went to Reykjavik 3 weeks ago but I discovered above all the countries because Iceland is marvelous for bird-watchers ! Well, I just want to ask you some questions about life in Reykjavik, what is good, what could be improved in town... Is one of you icelandic ? Could you tell me how is it to grow up in such a town ? Or don't you see any differences between Reykjavik and another European city ?
It would be very nice to you to give me an authentic account on the way you and the inhabitants see Reykjavik in the everyday life ! Could you send me a little e-mail ?
