There are lots of things to do in Reykjavik, you can drive around, hang at the mall, look at museums, do bowling and yes go climbing. And for those of you trying climbing for the first time or don't like actual mountains a converted feed storage such as this is a perfect place to start

The second largest University in Iceland is the Reykjavik university, it is currently located close to Kringlan the main shopping mall but will eventually move close to the university of Iceland creating a center of knowledge and a great target for anyone wanting to take out Iceland’s brain power.

This statue is outside Verzlunarskóli Íslands ( verslo for short ) which is a secondary private school. It is one of the better schools but there is a lot of rivalry between this and other schools especially since it is perceived that it is occupied by snobs and daddies boys/girls. Not going to make any judgments there, all I know is that this statue has a pretty shiny foundation, not one of the better statues of Reykjavik but it deserves a mention.

These municipal workers were cleaning up this hill and getting it ready to put grass on, workers are running around Reykjavik these days frantically sticking down flowers, trees, grass and anything else to make the city a bit brighter and more presentable.

Its the same routine every summer, more grass, new trees and flowers. Even the roads get done up since the studded tires have managed to tear them appart.

During the summer most 8th to 10th graders work for about 6 weeks for the city, cleaning up the sidewalks, painting fences and generally cleaning up the mess they leave during the winter months. Working in the summer is a very common thing for school children since they get 2.5 months off every year.

Was a Viking, a poet, and a true Icelandic folk hero! This is also the name of one of the largest breweries in the country. They produce soft drinks (their own and also Pepsi) and beer (Their own and also Tuborg) In addition they import chips and other beers. That’s not that interesting, what is interesting however is their building, they have decorated it with giant bottles! The kind you want when your doctor says you can only have one
