Hraunfossar (Lavafalls) are quite unique waterfalls that consist of many springs of water that emerge from under the edge of a lava field and create a beautiful series of small waterfalls. Hraunfossar flow into the river HvÃtá just a little bit down stream from Barnafoss that I mentioned in my earlier Water post.
