The fast and not so furious

Yesterday a formula 1 car was driven for the first time in Iceland. It was the Williams F1 team that graced us with their presence. Since there is no race track in Iceland they turned the parking lot of the biggest Shopping Mall in Iceland in to a tiny tiny race track the track was so small that the car could only drive 5 rounds before it would overheat. But the show was free and it was fun to see and hear a real F1 car here at last.

Miss Iceland showed up and got to sit in the car and pose for photos.

It's hard to be in the limelight you just get to have your cake no time to eat it

Wildlife Reykjavik - Salmonfishing

Just outside of Reykjavik is a nice salmon fishing river. The river is supposed to be superb for fishing, and is one of the favored spots for the sports fishing crowd. In the short while I stopped by the salmon seemed quite eager to join in the game. The fishermen seemed to enjoy the fishing but also found time to relax.

Borgarfjörður - the beautiful West

Here are a few sites in the west of Iceland. A wonderful area for salmon fishing, treking, hiking, walking, golfing and really anything you can imagine. Beautiful sites too, indeed a paradise for anybody who likes the outdoors and unspoilt nature.

10 year old for sale?

The Vikings are a strange bunch, and yes now I will shut up about them (for now). This poor 10 year old wasn't very nice to the old Viking so he did the only right thing, tied him up and tried to sell him to the highest bidder.

Icelandic vegetation

The vegetation of Iceland is in bloom this time of year much like any other place in summer. Just to misspell any myths of lack of greenery or life here are some closeups of some of the crops.

Life really can't get much better then fresh clean air and all this well life.
