Lonely tree

Pete Seeger´s famous song, where have all the flowers gone could really have been where have all the trees gone if he had been to Iceland. This ladies and gentlemen is an Icelandic forest. Hence the age old joke: What do you do if you are lost in a forest in Iceland? - You stand up.

hehe, I've heard that joke a few times...
I now use it over here in our Canadian suburbs, I substitute 'Icelandic' for 'Suburban'. At least you folks try..

I do get the significance of a lonely tree amidst the emptiness around it. Especially if the tree appears to have lived a natural life which most of them in suburbia never achieve. "Shade, my kingdom for some shade"
