Schweet!. Have you found that the sunsets are extra nice (red) this year? It certainly has been that way over here in Canukistan/Kanada.
It might be interesting to post what time approx the shots were taken. We aren't used to the midnight sun here in the balmy 49th vs your ~65th. I guess in early August sunset is around 10:30PM? I hope my weather chart is calculating properly.
Over here the sunsets have been more spectacular than usual. It was during one of those sunsets that my kids and I decided to watch when we noticed what looked like a comet. Nothing in the news at the time but it was comet McNaught. The pic I have of it came from Reykjavík. It was a once in a lifetime event that rivaled any comet I've ever seen and this was by surprise. http://iceland.intracore.com/2007/01/10/halastjarnar-mcnaught-comet-mcnaught/
Enjoy the weather even though it might not be exactly normal. warm and dry isn't what I've heard about Reykjavík.
Thank you, we will enjoy it. Coming up is a large traveling weekend (shopkeepers weekend - funny enough they don't really take it off) so people will be busy driving around our beautiful country, monday is a bank holiday.
Nice stripes in the pictures. I've seen some really nice sunsets here, I took some pictures of one a month ago, http://djaddasaga.blogspot.com/2007/07/midnight-sunset.html
