The Blue Ocean / The Ocean Blue

About 45 minutes drive from Reykjavik is one of Iceland's most scenic stretches of beach. On the tip of a peninsula wedged between the ocean and the delta of a large river (Ölfusá) lies the restaurant The Blue ocean. For some obscure reason it is closed over the winter months, which is a pity because there are few things more stunning then having a nice cup of hot chocolate after a walk on the beach during the frosty winter months.

If you are ever in Iceland do give this place a try.

I went to the Blue Ocean restaurant once when visiting Iceland. I took some beautiful pictures of the grass along the beach - it doesn't look very Icelandic! Thanks for the nice memories.
