Set in Stone

This statue is outside Verzlunarskóli Íslands ( verslo for short ) which is a secondary private school. It is one of the better schools but there is a lot of rivalry between this and other schools especially since it is perceived that it is occupied by snobs and daddies boys/girls. Not going to make any judgments there, all I know is that this statue has a pretty shiny foundation, not one of the better statues of Reykjavik but it deserves a mention.

This well brass band stands outside the Pearl and plays all day, every day. I always thought they looked rather bizarre, but they are a very proper and quiet band and no matter what they will play on
